      Program Description

The MGA Endoscopic Education Program Committee has been formed with the mission of providing practical, evidence-based lectures and seminars to practicing gastroenterologists and GI fellows in New England who may not have the opportunity to attend more distant and extended national conferences. This lecture series covers a broad range of topics in endoscopy, hepatology, and gastroenterology.

This fourth annual post-graduate course will provide an update on the multi-disciplinary nature of these diagnoses and the publication of new guidelines.

 Program Objectives

As a result of participating in this program, learners should be able to:

  • Incorporate the 2016 Rome IV Criteria for the diagnosis of functional GI disorders into their daily practice
  • Understand the basis and use of dietary therapy for irritable bowel syndrome
  • Recognize which patients would benefit from physical therapy for pelvic pain and functional disorders
